Caleton U faculty blogging about the election

The staff of Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communication is making good use of that academic independence by blogging about the election campaign. Plenty of interesting posts in there. They set a strong collective rhythm – keep ‘em coming guys!

Two posts already on the Green’s exclusion from the debate. Interesting points (but I’m still glad the Greens are out) from Christopher Waddell and Ira Wagman, but one thing intrigues me. Both commentators say the (Evil Consortium) networks were intimidated by the political parties. I have yet to see any evidence of that in the coverage. If they wanted to make it a fight, they probably would have won. That the battle was so short is evidence that the networks didn’t care strongly about it.
